Our New Clinic Cat: Lily!

Lily came to us as a rescue cat. She was abandoned by her owners and found by Dr. Blatt's cousin. She brought Lily to us to get her up to date on all her vaccinations and health care. Unfortunately she couldn't keep her. The whole staff thought she was such a sweet kitty and just couldn't let her go so now she lives with us at Feather and Fur. Currently Lily is still getting use to her new surroundings and hasn't quite moved up to filling Grandma's position on the front counter. Hopefully in a few more weeks she will be our new greeter and live up to the high standards Grandma set for all clinic cats.

 Beware of Rattlesnakes

In the last few weeks our clinic has seen a great increase in rattlesnake bites. We have had two cases this week alone. Most of these cases have been within a 5 mile radius of our clinic and in town. If your pet gets bitten by a rattlesnake or any other venomous snake please seek veterinary attention as soon as possible for treatment! Feather and Fur recommends getting your pet vaccinated for rattlesnakes as a preventative measure. However this vaccination does not prevent your pet from needing immediate medical attention if bitten but it has been shown to help lessen the reaction the pet may have to the bite as well as buy the owner more time to get to the vet if  not within city limits or a near by clinic.
